Privacy
Your email address, plainly.
This page covers the one piece of personal data this site collects: the email address you give the Note by What’s On Asia.
What we store
If you sign up for the Note, we store your email address, the page you signed up on, the country your request came from, and the dates you signed up and confirmed. That is all. Signups are double opt-in: nothing is treated as subscribed until you tap the confirmation link in the email we send, and if you never confirm, nothing further is sent.
Where it lives, and who touches it
Addresses are stored in our own engagement store on Cloudflare, not in an advertising platform. Email is delivered through Resend, which processes the address for delivery only. We never sell your address, and we never hand it to anyone else. Signing up here subscribes you to this list only, not to any country site’s list.
How long it stays
Your record stays until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted; there is no time-based deletion and no silent expiry. Every edition carries a one-click unsubscribe, and every email links to a page where you can manage or cancel your lists without a login.
Deletion and questions
To have everything we hold for your address deleted, or to ask anything about it, write to hello@whatsonasia.com and we will act on it ourselves.
